As August unfolds, Telluride offers a variety of events catering to diverse interests. Here’s a look at some upcoming highlights:
Telluride Mushroom Festival
From August 12 to 16, the Telluride Mushroom Festival celebrates all things mycological. Since 1981, this festival has brought together mycologists, scientists, foragers, and enthusiasts to explore fungi through science, culture, and community. This year’s theme, ‘Rewild,’ focuses on reconnecting with land, ecology, and community. Attendees can expect daily lectures, immersive outdoor experiences, and signature events like the Mushroom Parade and the Puff Ball costume dance party.
Mind Blown Magic Show
Magician Ty Gallenbeck presents ‘Mind Blown’ at The Peaks Resort & Spa in Mountain Village. This intimate show, limited to 38 seats per performance, has been a favorite since 2016. Upcoming shows are scheduled for August 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29. Tickets range from $50 to $85.

Every Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., the free ‘Music on the Green’ concert series takes place at Reflection Plaza in Mountain Village. Upcoming performances include Ben Musser & Walker Young on August 14, Ray Wylie Hubbard on August 21, and Cristina Vane on August 28.
